Amanda Sciullo is native to DeTour Village in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Huron; a place where there are more bears than people. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Wisconsin with an M.A. in painting. She studied at Savannah College of Art and Design where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, again with the honor Magna Cum Laude. All of her work is about her deep connection to the natural world and the urgency she feels to protect it. When human beings have so much impact on their environment, she feels an obligation to impart sensitivity.
