Doris Chase (1923-2008) was a renowned sculptor, painter and pioneer in the field of video art. A member of the Northwest School, Chase's success soared when she moved to New York in 1972 to live in the famed Chelsea Hotel. In addition to numerous public sculptures, Chase's work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art (New York), Art Institute of Chicago, Pompidou Center (Paris), and The Smithsonian American Art Museum. Abmeyer + Wood is honored to present some of the last remaining works by Doris Chase.
